A huge well done to everyone who took part in last night’s Summer Concert.
It was a fantastic evening, showcasing the incredible talent of our students. It was especially heartwarming to see so many of our Year 11 and Year 13 students return to the stage, some for the final time together.
We were blown away by the Year 7 Cantata and their fabulous performance of Shrek, with outstanding singing and acting by all. It was wonderful to see the whole year group perform with such confidence and enthusiasm.
Thank you to our dedicated staff for making the evening such a success and to our pupils – we are incredibly proud of all of you!
We are delighted that the netaball tournament held at WGSG on Saturday 6th June in memory of Liv Gow raised over £5000.00 for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to a wonderful day to celebrate Liv and fundraise for this important charity. It was lovely to see so may former pupils at the tournament as well as the support from the staff and the local buisnesses.

Today at lunchtime, we had great fun taking part in the newly named Staff Showdown!
Staff competed in a range of events, including the egg and spoon race, sack race, obstacle course, three-legged race, welly throw, relay, sprint and tug of war.
Well done to everyone who took part, and a huge thank you to our Student Leadership Team for organising such a fantastic event.
Congratulations to this year’s winners – the SLT! And, we’re pleased to report, no cheating this year!

It was an amazing (and very hot!) day at Wimbledon yesterday, where pupils witnessed elite sport at it`s very best.
They watched two ladies singles games, sampled strawberries and cream, bought some great merch and finished the day off with Nando`s!
Thank you to our pupils for being such great company and the best versions of themselves.
Congratulations to Maisy in Year 8, who was chosen to give a speech on Saturday evening at the Regional England Netball ONE Awards.
Although she was nervous, Maisy thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and deeply impressed the audience of over 200 adults. Her speech was adapted from her English spoken word competition, "Girls Need to Champion Girls."
In addition to this achievement, Maisy recently had an article published in The Telegraph celebrating her creation of the "Primary Pledge" when she was in Year 7.
We are incredibly proud of Maisy`s achievements. She truly embodies what it means to be the best version of ourselves!
Year 12 Religious Studies group have been having a fantastic time in Rome since Thursday.
It’s been sun, churches, pasta, pizza, ice cream, walking, sunsets and historic culture all round!
They have taken the 33° heat very literally in their stride and had a wonderful time.
What an incredible week in Roses, Spain! From exploring historic cities and stunning costal towns to try new experiences, speaking Spanish with confidence and making memories to last a lifetime – our Year 8 students have made the most of every moment! 🇪🇸❤️
Year 7 ended their activities week rehearsing for their Cantata, making Shrek ears, creating an activities week display board in their forms and taking part in a science activity. It was so lovely to get the whole year group together on Friday to celebrate their first activities week as Wirral Girls! The pupils enjoyed a video which included lots of photos from the week and we ended the day by celebrating our pupils for their bravery, kindness and being the best version of themselves! A huge well done to all the pupils who received an award – you all went that extra mile!
We are so proud of everything Year 7 has achieved this year and we can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve!

From residential trips to Shropshire, Bude, Spain and France, to the fantastic activities and trips in school, as well as supporting work experience placements, our students have enjoyed an incredible range of opportunities.
Thank you to the dedicated staff who carefully planned and organised the week, and who gave up time away from their own families to ensure our girls had the very best experience.
These opportunities, and everything that makes our school so special, would not be possible without your dedication, enthusiasm and care. Thank you.
Our final day began with a visit to the Ciutadella de Roses, where we learnt about the history and origins of Roses and explored the fascinating archaeological remains.
We then headed to the shopping centre for lunch before visiting the Cinema Museum, where we discovered how cinema has evolved over the years and explored a range of interactive exhibits.
We have now landed safely in Manchester and are beginning the final part of our journey home. We will keep parents updated with our estimated time of arrival as we travel.
When collecting your child, please help us by keeping the road clear so that the coach can pull up safely, and we kindly ask that everyone is respectful of our neighbours.
It has been a fantastic trip, and the girls have been a real credit to the school from start to finish. We are so proud of them! A special thank you to Mrs Anderson who has led this wonderful trip and to the staff who have supported her! ¡Hasta Pronto!🇪🇸

The French trip has arrived at Manchester Airport and is en route to school! ETA 17:45. Please do not park in the school car park but park considerately on Heath Road.

Year 12 enjoyed ice cream to finish off their Activities Week.
Year 7 then took the opportunity to treat themselves too after a morning of Cantata rehearsals.
Year 7 forms have been busy making displays showing the activities they have been doing during our Activity week.
Each piece reflects the effort and imagination they have made each day.
Well done Year 7 for such inspiring work!
Year 7 have been busy in the science department this week – pupils were building and testing floating lighthouses with the physics dept, to some degree of success.
A paper airplane competition caused excitement, where pupils made their own plane and then got to fly them in the school hall with the winner flying the entire length of the hall.
Biological drawings of plants, skulls and brains brought out the pupils` creative side with some fantastic pieces of art work.
The Year 8s & 9s have had an action packed, fun filled day in school yesterday, going on all the inflatables.
Huge thank you to Activity for All for running the sessions and making sure the girls had a wonderful time.
Today has been the last full day in France for the Year 8 French trip 😔. We started off with some retail therapy in the bougie resort of Cap d’Agde before spending a fun-filled afternoon at Aqualand waterpark. The girls and staff thoroughly enjoyed the wave pool, lazy river, rapids and all the different water slides!
To top off a wonderful day we all enjoyed a meal and live entertainment at Beauséjour campsite. Tomorrow sees our last day in France when we will visit the walled city of Carcassonne before heading home to Wirral 😔. #year 8 #frenchtrip #beziers2026
Today the Y8 Spanish trip walked into Roses, where the students had the opportunity to do some shopping and put their Spanish role plays into practice in real-life situations!
This afternoon, we headed to the water park, where everyone enjoyed making the most of the slides, wave pool and splash areas. There were some very brave students (…and staff!).
To round off our final full day, we enjoyed a beach party with music, games and plenty of dancing as the sun began to set. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of a fantastic trip!
