Destinations

Our Sixth Form students go on to universities, apprenticeships and the world of work.

Around 80% of pupils each year go on to university, including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL and other highly competitive institutions. They go on to study a huge variety of courses. Medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine remain popular choices as does psychology, criminology and English.

Around 14% of our students go on to apprenticeships, usually degree-apprenticeships. These have, again, varied enormously depending on the interests of the students. Recently, we have had students take up apprenticeships in engineering, with the police, in dentistry and in aerospace engineering!

The remaining percentage of the year group will go on either directly to the world of work or to a gap year. Those students taking a gap year are supported by our careers programme when they are ready to apply for whatever is next!
