Enrichment Options
Sixth Form students have the choice of completing the following in addition to their A Level studies:
- Extended Project Qualification: on a subject that interests them.
- Core Maths: to develop problem-solving skills and learn about real life maths which includes financial topics involving taxes, mortgages, loans and savings.
- Food: the opportunity to gain the level 2 Basic Food Hygiene and learn practical cookery, cooking on a budget.
- English Speaking Board: an excellent enrichment option to enhance social speaking skills including delivering a presentation, sharing a recommendation of a piece of literature and performing a section of it, leading and partaking in discussion and answering questions and commenting.
- Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award: a very desirable Award as it shows great dedication, independence and drive to succeed. This can help to build their confidence, resilience, skills for work and friendships for life.
- First Aid at Work: Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) which is specially designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace.
- NCS Citizenship: The National Citizen Service is a voluntary personal and social development program for 16–17 year olds in England
