Peripatetic Music

Pupils and students across the school are able to take music lessons in a wide variety of instruments delivered by our team of peripatetic music teachers. Most lessons are 30 minutes long and take place once a week, mostly during curriculum time but sometimes also at break or lunchtime or before or after school.

Pupils and students can start lessons at any time and further information about signing up for lessons can be found below.

We have a number of instruments in school that can be freely loaned to pupils and students, including violin, viola, ‘cello, double bass, French horn, trombone, cornet/trumpet, flute, bassoon, alto and tenor saxophone. We are very happy to promote the playing of instruments so please do ask for a trial on a school instrument before purchasing your own. Pupils learning the piano will benefit greatly from having a full sized acoustic or digital instrument (with weighted keys) to learn on at home.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please read the information provided on the application form below or contact the school office.
