Curriculum
At Wirral Grammar School for Girls, we are committed to:

- enabling students to make progress from one stage of their education to the next and ensuring all students are educated about their choices for the future and are prepared for the challenges of life after their time at Wirral Grammar School for Girls.
Key Stage 3
Our 3-year KS3 curriculum from Years 7 to 9 delivers a depth and breadth of learning and experience that gives students the key knowledge, skills and understanding needed to make strong progress in their learning. It both supports their transition from primary school and provides the essential foundations required to successfully access accredited Programmes of Study in Key Stage 4, leading to the best academic outcomes possible at the end of Year 11 and Year 13. The curriculum inspires all students to learn and deepen knowledge and understanding of the full range of subjects for all students.
The 25 hours of the week are divided as follows:
Year 7
Year 8
Year 9
Design & Technology* = Product Design, Textiles, Food
Modern Foreign Languages* = two languages from French, German and Spanish. 2 hours for the first language and 1 hour for the second language.
Citizenship is delivered through PSHE in Year 7, Geography in Year 8 and History in Year 9.
British Values, Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural development (SMSC) and Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) are taught through PSHE, in form-time and form part of our enrichment days.
