Our Reading Bug has been a really great way to help the girls into more regular reading!
Congratulations to all of the students who have won a Reading Bug this term! Your enthusiasm for reading and your commitment to making time for books is something to be celebrated.
Reading opens doors to new ideas, broadens perspectives, and builds skills that will benefit you both in and beyond the classroom. Above all, there is such joy in a good book. Well done to all of our winners and those who took part. So, over the summer—keep reading, keep exploring, and enjoy relaxing with a good book! The competition begins all over again next term!
We are hoping all our students – and staff! – will take their reading bugs on holiday with them and send Mrs Hubrecht a photo with the calculated miles you were from Wirral Grammar (use Google maps!). I will be seeing how far we got the bug in September. If you would like to take a bug to do this and did not receive one already this year, please ask your English teacher or at the staff room door before the end of the term.
